Early friday morning Lynch and his wife headed east on a 8 hour drive to Nelson to visit Family friends for Thanksgiving. Lynch threw his skimboard in the car with no real idea if the water levels of the lake would allow for any skim. They arrived in Nelson just before sunset and spent the night hanging out with the uphill gang. The next morning was spent walking around the town highlights included the various thrift stores, the candy shop and the local board shops… of course. Eventually, the group decided to find some skim for Kyle’s sake and soon they were off to Kokanee Creek Park about a 25 minute drive from downtown. They were in luck the water levels were pretty good and a few large sandbars were ripe for the pickings. Lynch started off things teaching the younger crew members the basics and finished things by sliding a ghetto setup in the middle of the lake. Anyway, eventually the skimmers got cold and the group moved on to slacklining near the parking lot. A great day on the lake and fun night and a another great day took us to Thanksgiving Diner, where Lynch and crew were spoiled with all kinds of goodies. The next morning it was time to leave for home and the weather turned sour, but all in all another enjoyable trip.
p.s. In the thanksgiving spirit, Kyda Creations would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement.
