Being a snowboarder, skateboarder and world traveler have all influenced London Metcalfe’s unique murals, canvasses and designs. Growing up in a family of artistes allowed him to explore all different styles and schools of art before zoning in on street art and graffiti. In his own words he is a “Self taught street terrorist, who enthusiastically puts spray cans and markers to good use”. We here at Kyda are stoked to have Metcalfe join the ranks and if you are looking for more information on this killer artist check out www.art4animals.posterous.com for news of his bombardments.

Patience, Timing, and know how are valuable aspects of being a professional photographer and Yuri Choufour (www.yurichoufour.com) has all three in spades. The guys at Kyda met Yuri through their common interest in skimboarding and have shared many sessions with him in the past: both on a skim and behind a lens. Yuri never ceases to impress and truly excels at capturing some of the best skim pictures we have ever seen. This might have to do with the fact he is an insane rider himself or that he graduated from the Western Academy of Photography, I don’t know but whatever he is doing works.

If there ever was a guy who knows his way around an image capture device, it has to Bryce Casselman. We here at Kyda don’t really know too much about where or when he acquired his skills but we can say is that every time he comes out to shoot with us we return with something epic. Bryce has this ability to sort of melt into the background and really capture natural behavior, which results in beautiful lifestyle photos and well some really sick skim shots. Check out www.brycecasselman.com for more information.

The guys at Kyda met Brian Kniveton in the summer of 2007 and where instantly impressed with his passion for flatland skimboarding. One of the few guys in the sport that has consistently put out high quality media throughout his involvement in the sport: Brian is dedicated, creative, and talented. Covering his hometown scene of Sacramento, California and co-founding the www.inlandskimmovement.com has made Brian one of the key players in the promotion of the sport. Look out for his upcoming full-length film “Item Number Nine” and his global skim edit to be released this year.
