A Vancouver local who grew up on the tidal flats of White Rock, Kyle Lynch is Kyda’s seasoned veteran with over a decade of skimboard experience. Over this span he has developed into one the most creative, skilled and respected flatland skimboarders in the sport. As the proud owner of Kyda Creations, Lynch brings the same passion he is known for in skimboarding to every aspect of the company.
Dane Clark is the prototype for the laid back and easy going of the world. The Island boy turned Vancouverite, has developed in to one of the best flatland skimboarders, anywhere. Known to most for his smooth style and huge pop tricks, Dane brings much more to Kyda then bangers as the company’s primary video editor. Expect good things from the young veteran, both on and off the beach with Kyda’s on going feature film Insufficient Funds in the works.
Talented, fearless, comical are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Shea Devries. Born and breed on Vancouver Island, the good times just seem to follow him around and when he is feeling it he as good as anyone on a skim. Now living at our bro Chris Powell’s house (aka the rail graveyard) in White Rock, Shea benefits from only having to walk five minutes to get to epic tidal flats. Not that he ever walks, guy longboards everywhere.

Tim Ladner is good at board sports. It really doesn’t matter what he is standing on – he kills it. A Vancouver local, Tim is one of the most consistent and technical riders in flatland skimboarding. He may not be flashy because he makes things look easy but it isn’t by fluke that he places in practically every competition he enters. Recently, Tim has been focusing on stewarding the next generation into the sport through day camps and private lessons. That’s enough, to speak volumes about the kind of guy he is. Stoked and spreading it.

Dylan Maranda is a fresh face to the skim community. He brings a unique style and a lot of energy as well as a passion for media of all types. He is a Vancouver kid, through and through and is a frequent and friendly face to all those who ride his local beach of Spanish Banks. Not only is he focused on progressing his own riding but those of others, teaching camps as an instructor in skim camps for the past 2 years. He, as well as the other Kyda groms, are the leading talents ushering in the next generation of flatland skimboarders.

Matt Taylor is a prime example of a young gun with tons of potential. Visit a low tide at Spanish Banks and you would more then likely observe Matt either inventing or learning something new to add to his large bag of tricks. Already a tech master on the flats, look out for Matt to bring that tech to the rails this summer. Although, Matt might not be the loudest dude on the beach or the biggest, for that matter… his effortless style on a skimboard basically screams RIPPER.

Antony Davis is only 17 but has been involved in skimboarding long enough to be considered a veteran. Growing up in White Rock with Lynch as a mentor, Anthony has developed into a really well rounded skimboarder that can pretty much sesh any setup. Recently, Anthony has been helping behind the scenes designing a lot of the rails for the 2012 season and putting in some elbow grease as well to make them a reality. Anthony Davis can be described as lanky, soft-spoken, funny and full of stoke; or a great addition to the Kyda family.
